The Vintage Campers are Back at Pismo Beach!

The Vintage campers are back at Pismo Beach, California this weekend!  I was in Buellton, about 45 minutes south of Pismo when I saw the most gorgeous red vintage camper pulled by a wonderful old station wagon, also red.  They were in a parking lot, probably a pit stop at Subway, when I spotted them.  By the time I got my camera out they were heading down the road – drat! Missed that shot!  But I LOVE LOVE LOVE vintage campers and trailers!

What’s not to love???  Every time I spot one it’s just pure joy, and if you’ve ever come across one unexpectedly you’ll know what I mean!  So I headed up to Pismo Beach this weekend to spot the lovely red camper, and hopefully photograph it!

If you’re in the area, you might get a glimpse of them.  Although I didn’t get to talk to the driver of the adorable red vintage camper, I spoke to their traveling companions to verify they were headed to Pismo Beach, and he told me they’re at the resort right next to the State Park.  If you’re familiar with the area, it’s the campgrounds just south of the pier, and just north of the entrance to the beach where you can drive right onto the beach at Oceano from Grand Ave.

I Love Vintage Campers!  Here’s a website link to find out more.  At the time of this post the information for the “5th Annual Trail Along to Pismo” Vintage Trailer Rally was on their home page.  The rally is sold out, but it looks like the public is invited to join them for an Open House Saturday May 19th from 10:00 to 3:00.  It looks like they’ve taken over the entire Pismo Coast Village RV Resort.  Here’s the link to the website:VintageTrailerCamp.com. If you’re dreaming of owning a vintage camper, read this sweet article about one girl’s love for her little pink Shasta!

  1. That’s my dad’s trailer! We worked on that thing for three months straight. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into that baby!
