Are you planning that annual camping trip, a Boy Scout expedition, or just a weekend trip to the hunting camp?  Well, you don’t want to forget your camping stool.  You need them when sitting around the campfire roasting hot dogs, making smores, and singing your favorite campfire songs.

Packing for your trip, you may want to consider what kind of camp stool you will need and what activities you are planning on your trip.  There are many types of stools to choose from.  If you are going to a hunting camp, you may want to select the camouflage stools.  There are some good brands like Eddie Bauer that carry those.  Or you can choose the collapsible type that comes in a backpack if you plan to be hiking a long distance and need to ‘take a seat’ so to speak.

There are stools that are designed for comfort while others, not so much.  So if, for example, you have a bad back, you may want to shop around and find one that is made for comfort.  Many of them are backless, but even those with backs are not really that comfortable, so if you shop online, be sure to read the customer reviews.  Some claim to be comfortable and may look comfortable, when, in reality, they are not.  You may want to look around in the retail stores or camping outlets where they have some on display so you can actually sit in them and try them out.

If comfort is not really an issue, then feel free to shop online and just search for the type that fits your individual tastes and needs.  There are various types called slackers that can be used for cooking over the grill which folds up for carrying with its own strap, some that are padded for extra comfort, and some that are collapsible with a handy bag to carry it in.

When enjoying your morning coffee, you might want to sit around a nice cozy fire and listen to the sounds of nature.  Well, while you are sitting there, you might need to set your coffee down occasionally.  What do you do: sit it on the ground?  Definitely not!  You need a table or something; so, you might want to purchase Alps Mountaineering stools that can serve as seats or small tables.  They are convenient and small enough to work as both.

Most camp stools are very reasonably priced no matter what style you choose to go with.  They can range anywhere from $10 to $60.
